At present it does not matter what Party is in the White House. What matters is the House and Senate. Until we get term limits and sincerely know who will work for the people rather than themselves, we will always be in this positin or worse. The middle class does not have the will power to continue this public robbery from the constitution to local government.
As for the convention center, it will be a noose around the neck of the county for the next 23 years. What they and all convention centers are booking is a disgrace. All that money and for what?
