LANCASTER COUNTY, PA – Scott Martin, who is running for State Senate in the 13th District of Pennsylvania, today announced that he has been endorsed by Congressman Joe Pitts (R-16), as well as nearly 30 Republican County Commissioners from across Pennsylvania.
“Scott Martin is the most qualified, conservative choice. His proven record of putting our Republican principles into action – and making government better for taxpayers – is unmatched, and shows that he has the skills and ideas to help Lancaster County. I’m proud to support Scott Martin for State Senate, and urge everyone in the 13th Senate District to do the same.” Congressman Pitts said.
Along with Pitts’ endorsement, nearly 30 Republican County Commissioners from across the state took the unusual step of endorsing Martin as well. In a prepared statement they said:
“We, Republican County Commissioners from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, proudly support Scott Martin for State Senate in the 13th District.
“As a fellow Commissioner, Scott not only worked diligently for the people of Lancaster County, but also with Commissioners from across the Commonwealth to successfully promote and advance legislative initiatives that benefitted counties and residents across the state.
“As the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican County Commissioners Caucus, Scott Martin stood up for conservative principles, even when he was the only person standing, and in doing so inspired others to stand up for what is right.
“Scott Martin is a true leader who has proven his ability to get positive results. We know that the people of the 13th District will benefit from his proven, conservative leadership and encourage every voter in Lancaster County to lend him their support.”
