Congressional candidate schedules her own town meetings

Lois Herr, candidate for PA 16th Congressional District, has scheduled the first in a series of non-partisan town hall meetings where the public can discuss important issues.

The first topic to be addressed is a Community Discussion on Health Care Reform to be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Lancaster Public Library – Bates Auditorium, 125 North Duke Street, Lancaster PA  17602.

  • Herr welcomes residents of the district to voice their opinions on solving our health care crisis.
  • She believes health care should be accessible to all, affordable, without arbitrary constraints such as pre-existing conditions and yearly limits, and portable.
  • Lois Herr believes increased emphasis should be placed on encouraging primary care and preventative measures.

Any and all citizens concerned about the health care crisis and the proposed health care reform legislation in the Congress are invited, and the meeting will last as long as necessary.
