Commonwealth Court judge will review disputed NCAA emails regarding Penn State sanctions

PENN LIVE: The emails are sought by Centre County state Sen. Jake Corman in preparation for a January trial on the validity of the NCAA / Penn State consent decree, and the penalties it imposed on the university’s beloved football program.

The NCAA has balked at releasing them to this point, and to resolve the dispute Corman’s attorneys asked for the so-called in camera review.

Emails the NCAA has shared to date include some showing doubts among senior staffers over the athletic association’s authority to impose penalties on Penn State because of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal… (more)
