At the August 4 County Commissioners Work Session, Chairman Dennis Stuckey announced that the Commissioners are now seeking a replacement for Laura Douglas’s current position on the Board of the Lancaster County Convention Center Authority (LCCCA): “We’ve had a letter from Laura Douglas [stating] that, at the end of her term in September, she does not wish to be reappointed to the Board,” Stuckey said.
Douglas, who has served as a volunteer on the LCCCA Board since the fall of 2005, is also the CEO of MAX International Converters, Inc. in Lancaster. Her intent to move on from the Board was announced at the July 9 LCCCA meeting.
Stuckey welcomed any member of the public interested in serving in this volunteer role to forward a letter of intent to the Office of the County Commissioners: “We haven’t discussed a formal process just yet,” Stuckey said, “so we do have some time.”
