Clown festival moves from Seaside Heights to Lancaster, Pa.

NEWARK STAR-LEDGER: Hundreds of amateur and professional entertainers capered throughout the borough in floppy shoes and face paint, wielding balloons and kazoos, amusing tourists and networking with other performers.

Clownfest traditionally culminated with a whimsical boardwalk parade that drew between 5,000 and 10,000 spectators…

Instead of marching in a Lancaster parade, the clowns will take over a minor league baseball stadium and play a game in costume against a local team, according to Klein-Ihnat… (more)

  1. May I be so bold as to suggest the the out-of-town clowns play the “Lancaster In-Town Clowns” from the Lancaster Newspaper management , edtorial and newswriting staff; the mayors office, the police detective department, and oh yes, let’s not forget High Industries.

    THAT would be worth traveling to Clipper Magazine Stadium to see. I’ll bet the “Clown Team” from WGAL’s weather department and sports staff could do play-by-play!!!!
