Chamber of Commerce Promises $50 Million in Fight Against Tea Party

NEWSMAX: The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is ready to take on the tea party in 2014 Senate primaries and elections with a deep-pocketed boost of establishment and business Republican candidates.

“Our No. 1 focus is to make sure, when it comes to the Senate, that we have no loser candidates,” Chamber strategist Scott Reed told The Wall Street Journal. “That will be our mantra: No fools on our ticket.”

The financial support, which The Hill reported would pour at least $50 million into the campaigns of centrist GOP candidates, is part of an aggressive approach toward tea party Republicans since the 16-day October government shutdown… (more)

EDITOR: It is not yet generally recognized that President Obama’s courageous denial of concessions to the Tea Party re the lifting of the national debt ceiling leading up to and during the government shutdown served the purposes of both political parties, possibly breaking the back of the Tea Party.

  1. The Chamber of Commerce would like nothing better than to keep downward pressure on wages by granting amnesty to illegals. This will hurt the African Americans and less skilled among us. The C of C breaking the back of the tea party is as likely as Obama care breaking the back of the democratic party.
