NEWSMAX: The website Politico has to stop hiding behind anonymous sources and bring out exact details of the allegations against presidential candidate Herman Cain if its story alleging sexual harassment is to be believed, conservative media critic Brent Bozell tells Newsmax.TV in an exclusive interview.
On the face of it, he said, the charges against Cain, now running neck and neck with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, do not seem very serious.
Bozell agreed with radio host Rush Limbaugh that Cain was being attacked as much because of his race as because of his conservative positions…. (more)
EDITOR: We don’t consider allegations of inappropriate behavior back in the 1990s that important. There is more than enough reason to disqualify Herman Cain as a candidate for the presidency on the basis of his lack of experience and faulty views.
However, what is surprising is that the Cain campaign was given ten days to respond to the Politico story, remained silent, and then Cain was woefully unprepared to give a clear explanation of what he knew and what he didn’t know. This smacks of incompetence.
It is a stretch to believe that Politico would not have reported on the same story had it been a Caucasian candidate.
I say blame the women who are outing Herman cause g-d knows old Herman is not going to take the wrap for what he’s done. If the story proven true, then Cain might as well bow out right now because he won’t be winning the republican nomination let alone the national elections.
The man can’t keep his mouth shut. His attempts to sell his cheap books has made him a joke and nothing more. But this could be good for the democrats because that would mean the nomination battle would be between Rick Perry, who has clearly proven himself completely retarded…and Romney, who has already declared his allegiance to burying our country in more debt.
Believe me I don’t mind my president having some women on the side but there is a time for everything.
