Both parties realize constitutional convention is necessary

A constitutional convention could tackle many of the big issues known to Pennsylvania: tax reform, campaign finance reform, merit selection of judges, biennial state budgeting, shrinking the size of the Legislature and changing the way legislative and congressional districts are created so there is no more gerrymandering….

This idea can no longer be dismissed as just the pipe dream of the far right or the far left in Pennsylvania — or any other state. There is no question reforms are needed in our government structure, and a gathering of such historical significance could be the best way to get them.
