[Richard] Field should be barred from interfering in Hungarian politics. He and other radical leftists such as George Soros are a pox on Hungary.
Liberal bleeding heart anti-Hungarians should go back to their country of origin and leave the magyars alone. His pick and choose type of funding of projects has not helped one single ethnic magyar, only minority groups that seek to destroy the country!
Richard Field’s response:
What ethnicity are the non-Roma recipients of the food aid we distribute if not Magyar? (“Magyar” is Hungarian for “Hungarian”)
What “ethnicity” do you consider my two sons–both born of the same Hungarian mother in Budapest–to be?
If they are not Hungarian because their father is American, then does that mean my grandchildren won’t be Hungarian either, even if my sons marry Hungarians? If that is the case, then what is the basis for Krisztina Morvai’s claim to be Hungarian when her family name (Morvai means “Moravian” in Hungarian ) and slavic features (blond hair, blue eyes) clearly indicates that her ancestors are from Moravia? (Krisztina Morvai is the neo-fascist “Jobbik” party candidate for President).
Robert Field’s addition:
When son Richard took me on a tour of a Red Cross day time shelter for the homeless that provides a free lunch, many of the persons sitting in the room appeared to be Hungarian as distinctive from Roma (Gypsies). I especially identified with and clearly recall one elderly gentleman whom I resembled.
Incidentally, philanthropist George Soros was born and spent the first fifteen years of his life in Hungary before fleeing from the Nazis to the mountains and eventually arriving in England.
