Biden Walks Line Between Aggressive, Domineering

NEWSMAX / AP: Vice President Joe Biden mockingly smiled, wagged his finger and couldn’t seem to stop interrupting Republican running mate Paul Ryan.

Democrats cheered his sharp tone in the only vice presidential debate. Republicans panned the vice president as disrespectful to his younger opponent…

Ryan, sitting on the national debate stage for the first time, settled on a smirk for much of the debate. He sipped water and cleared his throat through many of Biden’s answers…  (more)

EDITOR:  Neither Paul Ryan or Joe Biden may have swayed that many independents, but Biden certainly re-energized the Democrat base.

Reactions to who won the debate not only probably vary from Democrats to Republicans, but may also reflect a generational gap.

After their relative debate performances, perhaps President Obama is fortunate to be facing Romney rather than Biden in the general election!

  1. As an independent I was swayed.

Mr. Biden owed me a serious debate about serious issues. Both men had an opportunity to convince me they had the better path. Mr. Biden’s actions spoke louder than his words. I can only imagine what would have happened had Joe been president on 9/11.

Mr. Ryan, although not completely thorough given the complexity of the broad US situation, at least tried to answer the questions.

Still, they are second string players and I await the final two debates while thinking of how my personal situation has declined, along with several family members, over the past 4 years.
