Attorney general wants to combine charges against Graham Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Schultz

CENTRE DAILY TIMES: The Attorney General’s Office wants to proceed with one trial encompassing all the charges against the three former Penn State administrators accused of covering up abuse allegations against Jerry Sandusky.

Chief Deputy Attorney General Bruce Beemer filed a notice with Dauphin County court on Thursday, saying that the allegations against Graham Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Schultz are the same.

Their cases, though, have proceeded at different times. Curley and Schultz were first accused of perjury and failure to report abuse in a grand jury presentment in November 2011, and their case was bound over for possible trial after a preliminary hearing a month later… (more)
