As roads and bridges deteriorate, governor still silent on paying for fixes

SCRANTON:  Three commissions have recommended ways to pay for fixing the state’s thousands of deteriorating roads and bridges and legislators are eager to act, but Gov. Tom Corbett is still keeping mum.

After only briefly mentioning the long-standing transportation funding crisis in his second annual budget address Tuesday, the mystery surrounding exactly what Mr. Corbett wants to do about it remains publicly as deep as the day he took office 13 months ago.
