“Celebrate the Fourth of July by flying your flag the right way” is a worthy reminder of what we learned in school or, at least, what was taught in school some sixty plus years ago.

WATCHDOG:

Two oversights that quite often need correction are:  “Don’t let the flag touch the ground” and “Flags that are tattered or torn should be replaced.”

Just as he picks up occasional litter, the Watchdog reaches down to straighten small flags touching the grass.
