An apology from NewsLanc to Felix Perez

In the article “Local panel discusses ex-con mentoring proposal”, we mistakenly quoted Felix Perez  as categorizing a group as “thugs.”

In response to a comment from a reader,  the reporter reviewed the recording and concluded that he had misunderstood what was said.

We apologize to Perez and to our readers.
