USA TODAY / AP: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday called the Holocaust “the most heinous crime” of modern history and expressed his sympathy for the victims, a rare acknowledgment by an Arab leader of Jewish suffering during the Nazi genocide.

Given the hate in the region a concession to what the world has known for 75 years means nothing. All that matters is a real dispute solving peace treaty.
EDITOR: Hopefully, it is a step towards that. Peace cannot be achieved by one quantum leap. Let both sides trade concessions so as to build mutual confidence.
