It will happen at El Redentor and St Paul’s United Church of Christ, 10 W. Farnum St in Lancaster ( next to the Save A Lot on S Queen St).
The performance marks the culmination of a four day string camp that has been taking place this week at the church. Camp faculty includes Michael Jamanis, Sara Male, Simon Maurer and Ning Mu.
Twenty Five string students participated in the camp.
The unique aspect of the camp has been the collaborative efforts of the students. Many of the students are School District of Lancaster students Jamanis recruited as the Director of Music For Everyone’s In the Schools program.
The other students that make up the camp were enrolled at Prestissimo, an international chamber music festival that was to take place this week but was cancelled. The Prestissimo students have assumed a mentorship role in the various string ensembles represented at the camp.
It has been an incredible experience for everyone involved. Hope you can make it.
