A sign of good financial news to come?

Pittsburgh Post Gazette:  American Eagle Outfitters Inc. posted a 10 percent January sales increase in stores open at least a year. Total sales rose 18 percent to $163.5 million vs. $138.9 million during the same period last year. The South Side retailer said sales for the three months ended Jan. 30 rose 7 percent to $972 million vs. $905.7 million last year. The company is now projecting fourth-quarter earnings in the range of 32 to 33 cents per share, excluding potential charges, up from earlier guidance of 30 to 32 cents.
