EDITOR:  Holding a liquor license is a somber responsibility, in ways similar to those of airline and bus companies.  Auto accidents resulting from inebriation kill people.

Pennsylvania and other state liquor control boards are correct in prohibiting enticement of customers to indulge through special incentives.   Those who own liquor licenses understand this.  Violators deserve to have their licenses suspended for a period.

This is not the first incident at Iron Hill concerning potential violations.  We recall that at the opening of Iron Hill that they violated regulations by not properly securing their liquor inventory.

NewsLanc’s associated companies hold hotel liquor licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
