I stumbled across this site some time ago, when I meant to go to lancnews.com, not newslanc. Since then, I have come back a time or two to see if anything interesting has been posted. And there has been, in the past.
However, where has the local coverage gone? It seems this site does nothing more than grab national feeds these days. For this, I can go to CNN or BBC.
I hope you do return to more local coverage. Until then, I’ll get my local news elsewhere.
EDITOR: You are correct that NewsLanc does not routinely carry much Lancaster news. We leave that to the newspapers except where we believe they are not providing necessary coverage.
But we do have equal or superior state news, due to our subscription to Capitol Wire.
While CNN and BBC are good sources, we draw routinely from The FinancialTimes, USA Today, AOL News (which happens to be very good.), NewsWatch (for a conservative angle) and several national blogs. In addition we provide commentaries on local and worldwide events. Lastly, we disclose information on local sacred cow institutions that you will not find elsewhere…and we critique the newspapers.
On some important subjects such as finance, history, economics, business, election campaigns, movies, and philanthropy, we believe we often know more than does the typical editor and reporter.
