People still want local news.

 

the West Side Rag that serves the Upper West Side in Manhattan may bode the future for smaller cities like Lancaster, York and Reading and neighborhoods in major cities.

LNP in Lancaster, PA deserves praise for continuing to operate, but it carries only a handful of local stories covered by it own reporters each day.   “Rags” with two able reporters, a smart editor and through local advertisements can suppy a valuable supplement to the national and international Internet behemoths.
