From the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS:
… President Obama declared a disaster in 19 Pennsylvania counties this week; victims of Tropical Storm Lee will be eligible for emergency federal aid for home repairs or property losses.
The declaration was requested by Gov. Corbett – the same Gov. Corbett who made big cuts to public schools, and who as attorney general sued to stop health-care reform, saying he wouldn’t support such “big government.”
We’re not upset that Corbett requested the funding. But we do hope going to the feds with hat in hand reminds him that government spending doesn’t seem so frivolous when you have an emergency.
