Can Lancaster Library’s staid reputation survive LNP’s misplaced modifier?

Contrary to the LNP report, we are reliably informed by a board member, who happens to be our spouse, that the Lancaster Public Library does not run a saloon.

The newspaper caption under a photo of imbibing book lovers states: “Kendra Boersen and Hannah Miller listen to Timothy Rezendes, center, during Books on Tap, a book club at a bar run by Lancaster Public Library, held at Annie Bailey’s on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.”

We expect this is simply a matter of a misplaced modifier, rather than egregiously inaccurate reporting . The caption should read “ … a book club run by Lancaster Public Library at a bar…”

LPL is in the book business, not a saloon keeper. But it is an idea.

  1. “egregiously inaccurate reporting”……certainty not from LNP!!!!! (I say that tongue in cheek).

LNP (little news possible) the leading source of egregiously inaccurate reporting Lancaster County…..they proudly claim so (not in those exact same words, mind you) on their LOL banner.
