Bill Clinton: How I’d fix debt crisis

From the NATIONAL MEMO:

President Obama has previously ruled out the so-called constitutional option in the debt debate, under which he would claim the 14th Amendment allows him to continue borrowing and simply ignore the debt ceiling. Bill Clinton, however, would have no such qualms: He’d use the option “without hesitation, and force the courts to stop me,” he tells Joe Conason. “I think the Constitution is clear.”

Clinton, however, says he expects President Obama to strike a deal with Republicans soon. “It looks to me like they’re going to make an agreement, and that’s smart.”
