PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE: “It always amazes me how many chickens will vote for Col. Sanders,” said my brother. He was commenting on my last column, about the disappearing middle class and how monied interests are manipulating voters into plucking their own feathers.
That column quoted a slew of statistics demonstrating the massive transfer of the nation’s wealth out of the hands of average people and into the pockets of the richest Americans.
