Reducing the Harms from Drug Use in Lancaster County

A sister organization to NewsLanc sponsors syringe exchanges in four Central Pennsylvania cities.  Below is the July report for Lancaster.  Melinda Zipp is the Director.

For years Lancaster Harm Reduction Project has prevented the spread of disease, helped place addicts in treatment, and encouraged the use of Narcan that has led to the savings of many lives.

The workers are moderately paid yet totally dedicated to helping their clients to return to families and jobs.  Harm reduction workers serve, not exploit, their community.

The foundation is privately funded by the Field family.  Not a cent comes from the government.
