NYT editors prematurely concede England’s exit from European Common Market

The New York Times editorial “The Complex Cost of Brexit Gets Clearer” concludes:

“There is no turning back from Brexit, and the challenge now for Britain and the European Union should be to do the least harm to each other and the world.”

Have these pundits concluded that one of the world’s great democracies is incapable of calling for a second referendum in two years after knowing the costs and consequences of exit from the European Europe?

This may or may not happen, but it is patently silly to rule it out.
