”State Sen. Lloyd Smucker and lawyer Neal Rice came out far and away as the winners in the first of eight Republican committee straw polls Thursday night — the beginning of a vital endorsement process for the congressional and state-lawmaker-hopefuls.”
Both are Dale High funded and handpicked: one for Congress and one for Senate. The power elite are trying to push Scott Martin out because Scott made decisions that were in the best interest of Lancaster County and wouldn’t be puppeted.
Whatever Dale High wants; LNP will do whatever it takes to make sure it happens…even greasing the skids with early propaganda polling results…..deplorable ‘journalism’.
LNP has no ethics when it comes to kissing Dale’s behind.
It is refreshing to know we have an actual news source in Lancaster that has not been bought and paid for by the greedy. Anyone who is informed knows Scott Martin has been an exceptional commissioner and will be the people’s senator.
Glad NewsLanc sees through all these games and is taking notice to the corruption permeating the republican committee of Lancaster county.
Scott Martin should be and will be our next senator. It is an early Christmas present to see NewsLanc taking the lead on this.
Like many other news stories in Lancaster, we can only trust NewsLanc to report the truth!!!
EDITOR: Thank you. But the article was not by NewsLanc but from a reader in the form of a Letter to the Editor. However, NewsLanc has at times had cause to comment favorably concerning Commissioner Martin.
Commissioner Martin oversees all of Lancaster County and his focus has always been on county wide issues. I really applaud NewsLanc for being an actual investigative news source because other media outlets (like LNP) are trying to make people think very negative things about Commissioner Martin.
Remember, Commissioner Martin was the only politician to stand up for tax payers regarding the convention center (owners of LNP do not like Scott Martin because they have ownership in the convention center).
Scott Martin is not for the rich. He’s for the middle class tax payer. NewsLanc is very impartial and has shed light on how much Commissioner Martin is for the people of Lancaster County.
Reason the rich people do not like him. He always votes for the best interest of tax payers and the working class.
Having been a part of the first section of straw polls I can confirm these polls are rigged against Scott Martin and Ethan Demme. Neal Rice came out of no where and needs to be exposed as the puppet he is. Our area chair who sold out to an incoming commissioner and his High roller funders basically lied about Commissioner Martin to get the committee to block vote him and used fake proxies to trump up the votes. Ethan Demme even deserves to be a Senator over Neal Rice who couldn’t answer basic questions when my fellow committee people asked him. I am so disgusted over what is happening because a corrupt incoming commissioner sold his soul to the same rich people who have robbed tax payers in our county.
We need an open primary!!!!! The committee can’t be trusted and it pains me to say that because we have been committee people for the people. Now we are filled with government employees and funded by corrupt business people who hate Scott Martin for all the good he has done for our county. I am so sick over this. Many of us are.
We can not allow are senate and congress seats to be taken by bought and paid for politicians.
My committee man sent me this article and it makes my blood boil and confirms all of my suspicions. The RCLC is a good organization and we care about are county. But we have allowed certain individuals to stack committees with there friends who are as corrupt as the day is long.
I have known Scott Martin through the committee for years. He is not a politician. Scott Martin is a statesman and he cares about this county. Martin for Senate!
They even jumped the line so the bought and paid for CV committee would go first.
