Is The Atlantic closing the magazine?

POLITICO:  In a move that can’t have pleased their ad sales team, the chiefs at Atlantic Media told the New York Times’ David Carr this week that they’re not confident in the future of print.

“It’s become very, very clear to me that digital trumps print, and that pure digital, without any legacy costs, massively trumps print,” Atlantic Media owner David Bradley tells Carr.

“I’m bearish on print, including our own. It is an inexorable trend that has to be met with some very radical changes,” said president Justin Smith…  (more)
