Harrisburg’s former receiver David Unkovic says creditors ‘were in my view trying to put me into a box’

Former Harrisburg receiver David Unkovic told Commonwealth Court Judge Bonnie Brigance Leadbetter this morning that his ability to develop a fiscal recovery plan for the cash-strapped city was compromised by a Dauphin County judge’s earlier decision.

That decision allowed the same creditors who helped the city accrue more than $320 million in debt to control the incinerator, which Unkovic aimed to sell….

He then went on to say the day after he held a March 28 press conference, in which he condemned Harrisburg’s creditors and local and state politicians for trying to hinder him from developing a fair debt plan, the general counsel for the state made it clear Unkovic would be removed )from his post. The next day, Unkovic resigned…

EDITOR: The gang of thugs running and exploiting state government must go.  We need an attorney general that will investigate and prosecute.   And that person must no be part of the Republican or Democrat establishment…because they are both in this up to their necks!
