Two types of organizations

Two types of organizations

Some entities welcome comments from readers and members.   Others block this from happening

Note how some publications actually provide the e-mail address for reporters and have contact information to the editors.    Others have a category “Contact us” on their web sites  but all it lists are how to address services or give money.

A case at point this morning was the editors attempt to communicate with the Penn State Alumni Association.  During this emergency, do they really expect us to communicate by ‘snail mail’?

By spending a little money, these benighted organizations might further their interests by having someone read comments.   It has been our business experience that some of the best observations and advice come from the public.

"....I have never made it a consideration whether the subject was popular or unpopular, but whether it was right or wrong; for that which is right will become popular, and that which is wrong, though by mistake it may obtain the cry or fashion of the day, will soon lose the power of delusion, and sink into disesteem." Thomas Paine, Common Sense, on "Financing the War", March 5, 1782
