A good use for the Hotel Brunswick

Let’s turn the Brunswick into a hotel school–fully operational hotel, mostly run by students, with responsible management. Seems like we could get it pretty cheap. That’s prime location, squandered. Street front could be a great set of businesses including cafe/restaurant with outdoor seating…what an opportunity.

Needs a major makeover, but really could be a winner.

I’m interested in creating living-wage jobs within the city—primary interest.

I agree. It would be a great location for a hotel school or even if it was utilized as it truly is.

The sad thing is, except for necessity, the hospitality industry is quite low right now due to the economy and fewer people going on trips. Which is sad, because it is in a prime location and holds so much promise. And it could draw other businesses in to fill the space beneath it.
