Press Release: “Youth Intervention Center Staff Receive National Accolades”

“Indianapolis, Indiana, 10-14-09 – Two Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center staff members received national accolades at the 15th National Symposium on Juvenile Services which was held in Indianapolis, Indiana this past October.

Employees from the center received the National Juvenile Detention Association’s “Bob Rader Line Staff Worker of the Year” and the “Bob Rader Detention Services Worker of the Year” awards.

Angel Nazario, Detention Supervisor, received the National Juvenile Detention Association’s “Bob Rader Line Staff Worker of the Year” award and Winston Barnard, Detention Youth Care Worker, received the National

Juvenile Detention Association’s “Bob Rader Detention Services Worker of the Year”. Both individuals were recognized for their continued commitment, dedication, knowledge, and service to the field of Detention. Angel has been working with the residents at the Youth Intervention Center since May 1996 and Winston since July 2005.

Formerly named Barnes Hall, the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center provides temporary safe and secure care for alleged delinquent juveniles and dependent juveniles of Lancaster County. For all juveniles, the center provides protection for the community and the child.”
